  11. | distribution was co-pioneered in 1982 by Jim Button and Andrew Fluegelman. |
  12. | It has  become a major force in the  software industry,  helping to reduce |

  16.                     HERE'S HOW SHAREWARE WORKS:

  18. You are encouraged to copy the PRGCYCLE discs and share them freely with
  19. others. You have the luxury of trying out the complete programs, at your own
  20. pace and in the comfort of your own home or workplace. This is not a crippled
  21. or demo copy, but the complete working version of the program.

  23. After you have used PRGCYCLE for a reasonable evaluation period (not to 
  24. exceed 30 days) you must either stop using it or buy a licensed copy from 
  25. Computer & Technical Services or from an authorised dealer.

  45. your friends and associates. The following restrictions are designed to
  46. protect the community of Shareware users and to prevent others from taking
  47. unfair advantage of the trust, hard work, and good will of Shareware authors.

  49. Technical Services.

  55. 1. Disk vendors (those who sell Shareware disks for a profit) must follow
  56.    the procedure outlined in the "VENDOR.DOC" file.
  57. 2. You may not charge more than a nominal sum per diskette.
  58. 3. The files and programs on the disks may not be modified or deleted.
  59. 4. The programs cannot be sold as part of some other more inclusive package.
  60. 5. The programs cannot be rented or leased to others.
  61. 6. When distributed via a telecommunications link, all programs
  62.    (and documentation files) should be transferred in a library or archive
  63.    format. This means that all the files on each disk may be
  64.    combined into one file.

  70. PRGCYCLE requires a hard disk, DOS 3.1 or higher and MS Windows version 3.0 or
  71. higher, VGA or Better display.
  72.  
  73. The PRGCYCLE files are compressed using the MS Compress program.
  74.  
  75. INSTALLING TO A HARD DRIVE
  76.  
  77. The SETUP program is provided to uncompress these files and install
  78. PRGCYCLE into your system.  To install the programs, put the program
  79. disk into your A: disk drive and from the program manager File menu, select
  80. Run. Enter A:SETUP and click OK.

  83. SETUP creates a subdirectory on your hard disk and copies the necessary
  84. programs and files into that subdirectory.

  86. The program can be installed manually, by expanding the files MSAFINX.DL_ and
  87. VBRUN300.DL_ to MSAFINX.DLL and VBRUN300.DLL in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
  88. and creating a directory for the program where PRGPRJCT.EX_ and PRGCYCLE.TX_
  89. should be expanded to PRGPRJCT.EXE and PRGCYCLE.TXT

  91. The program PRGPRJCT can then be added to a program manager group.
